Flinders Medical Centre

Medetec supported the fit-out for surgical spaces at the Flinders Medical Centre expansion project in Bedford Park. As part of the hospital’s major redevelopment, which is adding new operating theatres, intensive care facilities and clinical spaces within the seven-storey Acute Services Building. Medetec supplied and installed specialised medical and surgical equipment to ensure theatres and procedure areas are fully operational and compliant with clinical standards. Their role helps integrate advanced technology and infrastructure into the broader upgrade, enhancing surgical capacity and patient care at one of Adelaide’s largest hospitals.

Harley Day Hospital

This project brought to life a purpose-built, high-end specialist dental consulting and day surgery facility — recently recognised as Australia’s Best Day Hospital. From the outset, the vision was to create a modern, future-ready space that delivers exceptional patient care while supporting long-term growth.

Medetec partnered closely with the team to design and deliver the complete fitout, including six dental chairs — two of which were constructed to meet full Day Surgery requirements. Beyond the clinical spaces, Medetec also consulted on and designed a state-of-the-art plant room, carefully planned to meet both current operational needs and future expansion.

Working within a heritage-listed building presented its own challenges, particularly when adapting to parts of the existing layout. However, through strong collaboration with the Harley Dental team, as well as the external builders and architects, Medetec developed practical, efficient solutions that met all regulatory and operational requirements without compromising on quality or design.
